The first service tomorrow will start in about 9 hours and I won’t be there.  I’m sitting in a hotel room in Kansas City enjoying some R&R with my family.  Things will be fine, Daniel is taking the lead and he will do a great job.  There are many challenges and situations going on among the people of Fairview, yet God is God and He will guide the way for many through their situations.

On one hand, I really wish I was going to be there tomorrow, as it will be a different kind of service and one that is necessary, yet on the other hand, I need to be away, I need to pull back and take a break and reprioritize things in my life.

So, since I’m away, I offer this prayer.

Dear Lord,

Be with my church in the morning, lead my friends and family to a place where they will see You.  Be with my team and bless their efforts as they serve You.  My prayer is that things turn on as they should and that your message would be clear.  Let Your Spirit shine through.  As things are stripped away, I pray that people would experience You in a new and fresh way.  It’s all about You, Lord. Forgive us for trying to make it any more than that. You are God and You are the reason and You need to be our focus.

Protect our hearts and draw us to You, Lord.
